I am interested in finding out about donating stitch patterns . Does EGA have a connection to a needy organization that accepts patterns or stitch accessories? I’m still stitching a lot but I have way more that I’ll ever get to.

have any of you ever heard of mardauger embroidery? had a question from a member in RMR – they have a piece done by her great grandmother and would like to find out more about it. Thanks in advance.
-
Thanks Hazel – that was all I found also. I should ask for a picture to see if that would help
-
Could you post a picture of the completed embroidery? Maybe it was called Mardauger in the “old country”, but now has a “new name”. I wonder if it is a variant of Hardangar.
-
Thanks Stephanie – I asked for a picture, but all they had was an old Fair Ribbon with writing on the back, the consensus from the chapter was it was Hardanger.

Everyone!
Here are images of everything that should be in the kit. There is no video or zoom component to this class. The written step by step instructions are very well illustrated with close up photographs which can be enlarged to see great detail. I will post extra images if something needs…[Read more] -

Hello Cynthia: found the felt, and beading thread. Have 10 baggies, but no Rough Purl, just a # 7 Rough Purl? Also, have a question??? Is it possible to purchase the lessons in CD form??? I will probably need more time with the lessons because I am new to this but I wanted to make this bracelet because I love it!!! Thank you for your help,…[Read more]

Hi John: I’m getting my COVID shot in the morning and then I’ll drive up to 3 XXX’s tomorrow. I hope I don’t drive Pam nuts… but I’m going up to select treads. I better admit – I have 8 stitches in my right hand, today is the first day I’ve been able to type albeit all left fingers and index only on the right hand. I did this on the…[Read more]

John…when I received my booklet, I was surprise to see that I had completed this Kimono 6 years ago but in monochromatic palate. It will truly be a revisit for me. I enjoyed working on it and it was quick and addictive. I am going to enjoy this again because it will be in color. I have selected my color palate – blue, green and yellow. I…[Read more]

John, I think I’m ok on working out my threads. I’ll send a pic a bit later for you to see. But I do have a question concerning the threads. Let me first say that I am in a NP Shop desert. Like many my closest shop is 2 hrs away. I am also “woman” who likes to have my bases covered. I heard you about NOT reading pg 3. But could you…[Read more]

I just read the entire thread and found the instruction very helpful. Also the website you suggested has a palette generator. I put in the primary color in my overdyed and it created multiple palettes that I can use to pick the other overdyed. It is almost like using a color wheel that is used in quilting. What a blast!
