Stephanie, if you leave the clasp off it will be harder to sew it on through the embroidery. However, you may be able to secure the stitches to the threads on the back of the bracelet after the embroidery is done and before you glue on the backing. The glue will also help to secure the threads that hold the clasp on.

Mary, Yes you tie a knot using the tail from the beginning and the tail in the needle. Thread each end up one at a time and stitch it back where it came from for about an inch. I am interested in finding out about donating stitch patterns . Does EGA have a connection to a needy organization that accepts patterns or stitch accessories? I’m still stitching a lot but I have way more that I’ll ever get to.
