Registration is open to EGA members and to non-members beginning on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 12:00 Noon Eastern Daylight Time and will close at midnight Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

There are 59 classes, taught by 29 faculty members, in a variety of techniques to interest stitchers of every level, from beginner to advanced. Class descriptions, teacher biographies and other information about the class projects are also listed here.
Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will be accepted for 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 day of classes. Note that some classes are already filled and others may have limited seating. If you would like to inquire about the wait list for a closed class, you can contact the Assistant Registrar.

Please note that all fees are due and payable with submission of registration.

March 17 – Open Registration Begins. All registrations must be accompanied with payment for the total amount.
May 31 – EGA Membership must be on file at HQ or in process. Non-EGA members will be charged an additional fee to register.
June 25 – Changes to class registration requested after June 25, 2018 will incur a $30 administrative fee for EACH request.
July 25 – Open Registration Closes
August 28 – Hotel reservation deadline. To receive the EGA Seminar 2018 room rate, you must complete your hotel reservations by this date. The block of rooms held for seminar will be released to the general public thereafter.
August 31 – Deadline for payment of any remaining fees.
Explanation of fees
Payment of Fees
Payment of class fees, as well as fees for special events and optional items, is due with registration. Kit fees and adjustments for mail-in registrations will be billed as received. Money orders or personal checks in U.S. funds should be made payable to “EGA Seminar 2018.” Visa, MasterCard, or Discover is accepted. Any remaining billed fees will be due and payable no later than August 31, 2018.
A nonrefundable fee ($100) is required for ALL attendees who register for one or more days of class. This fee does not apply to nonparticipants or to early registrants who have already paid the fee.
Class Registration Fees
The following fees include the Hospitality Package but DO NOT include kit, special event, or optional item fees. (The Hospitality Package includes the seminar pin and handbook)
5 Days of Class – $540
Wednesday through Sunday. Includes: one Wednesday class and four days of classes (either one 4-day class or two 2-day classes), Wednesday and Sunday banquets, and hospitality package.
4 Days of Class – $465
Thursday through Sunday. Four days of classes (either one 4-day class or two 2-day classes), Wednesday and Sunday banquets, and hospitality package.
3 Days of Class – $310
Wednesday and Thursday/Friday OR Wednesday and Saturday/Sunday. Includes: one Wednesday class and one 2-day class, one banquet, and hospitality package.
2 Days of Class – $235
Thursday/Friday OR Saturday/Sunday. Includes: one 2-day class, one banquet, and the hospitality package.
1 Day of Class – $75
Wednesday. Includes: one class on Wednesday and the hospitality package, but NO BANQUETS.
Hospitality Package – includes the seminar pin and the seminar handbook. It is included with all class and non-participant registrations. Extra hospitality packages will be available for sale at Seminar 2017 while supplies last.
Other Registration Fees
Non-member Fee $60
Applies to those registering for seminar who are not members of EGA. Due at registration.
Non-participant Fee $175
Applies to those not taking classes at seminar. Must be registered at one of the designated hotels as part of the EGA-negotiated room block. The fee includes two banquets and the hospitality package.
Kit Fee Varies by class
Due at the time of registration, except for early registrants.
Winning Ways $35 per ticket
Merchandise Event $75 for whole table; $100 for whole table with electricity; $50 for half table
Teachers’ Showcase $22 per half, or $43 per full, table
Extra banquet tickets $75 per ticket
Facilities Use Fee $240
This one-time fee applies to anyone registering as a non-participant or for two or more days of classes, but who is not staying at The Galt House or another seminar designated hotel; or Anyone staying at The Galt House or another seminar designated hotel with a room rate other than the EGA-negotiated rate.The additional fee is charged because the stays will not be considered part of the seminar room block which contributes toward payment of event and classroom space.
Hotel, Shuttle and Scooter Information
The Galt House Hotel, located in the Heart of Louisville, is the site for Diamond Jubilee, EGA’s 60th anniversary seminar. As Louisville’s only waterfront hotel with spectacular views of the Ohio River, it will serve as our home away from home for all seminar activities: classes, meetings, banquets, exhibits and boutique.
The Galt House Hotel offers free basic Wi-Fi in guest rooms and public areas, a seasonal outdoor pool, and the rooftop Club 360° Fitness Center. A full-service Business Center provides document services, shipping/receiving, and computer access. The Galt House Hotel features seven restaurants and lounges for delicious dining and cocktails. All parts of the hotel are non-smoking.
You can walk, trolley hop or catch a two minute taxi ride to main attractions, fabulous restaurants, museums and live entertainment. The Galt House Hotel is the hub of the city and the place to be.
Guest rooms are located in either the RIVUE Tower or the SUITE Tower with comfortable furnishings, HD televisions, and in-room coffee makers. Rooms can accommodate up to 4 individuals for the price.
Deluxe Guestrooms in the RIVUE Tower with double doubles and kings available: $162 (plus taxes).
Guestrooms in the SUITE Tower: $182 (plus taxes).
Reminder: A one-time facilities use fee of $240 will apply to all persons registered for two or more days of classes or as non-participants, who do not stay at the designated hotel at the EGA contracted rate, unless the seminar chair approves alternate arrangements.

Reservations Online. The hotel has opened a secure registration link dedicated to our event here. Caution. You must use the above link to obtain the seminar group rate. The hotel will NOT honor the group rate for reservations made through www.galthouse.com.

The deadline for making reservations is Tuesday, August 28, 2018.
Galt House Hotel is providing a special self-parking rate of $12 per day for all EGA overnight guests. Valet parking is $25 per day.
Galt House Hotel is located about nine miles from the Louisville International Airport, and offers shuttle service through Xtreme Transportation as described in Ground Transportation.
Xtreme Transportation, located in the SUITE Tower lobby of the hotel offers transportation to and from the airport and surrounding areas.
Shuttles run every day from the Louisville International Airport to the Galt House Hotel. Be prepared with the name of your airline, flight number, and arrival time when booking the shuttle. To ensure your transportation, book your shuttle ahead of time by calling 502-561-4022 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also book your ride at the Transportation Desk in the main lobby of the Galt House Hotel. Cost is $15 one way or $25 round trip.
One-way taxi service from the airport costs from $21 to $30 (incl. 15% tip) depending on traffic.

Gould’s Discount Medical (Scooters for Seminar)
Gould’s Discount Medical is prepared to provide scooters for EGA Seminar 2018 The price of $225 + tax per scooter includes Drop Off and Pick Up from the Galt House Hotel. In order to qualify for rental of the scooter, the following information is important to read.
Must make a reservation before October 1, 2018, at 10 am, in order to get ½ price delivery. After that, the full delivery price of $50 will be assessed. Attendee must provide Gould’s a 5 business day notice before cancelling in order to receive a refund and no refund after September 25, 2018.
Gould’s will create an individual order for each scooter and prepare a Rental Form.
Payment is required when attendee reserves scooter.
