    I just finished “Tudor Rose & Pomegranate” by Cynthia Jackson. (The design is available from Inspirations Studios.) This is only my second goldwork project but I’m very happy with how it turned out.

    I decided to make a mini smaller for each thread. I am part way through the third. I am very pleased that I am sampling these threads before starting a project. They can be so slippery and quite different to cotton embroidery threads that I am used to. Thank you for this beginner kit! Julia

    I finished Lesson 4 last evening, except for the stitches requiring the Kreinik metallic tie downs. I ran out of that thread, so I kept on stitching I did call Christine for another reel.     In lesson 3 there is a difference in the stitch diagram section 7A Fig.1 and Fig.2 and the right and left pages of the whole design. There are four gray backstitches at the top in Fig. 1 (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8) and only the two middle stitches are shown in red at the top on Fig. 2 and the main chart.     In 2005 Dorothy Lesher taught a class in Tulsa EGA called the Sorceress. It is a pair to the Wizard. I have the canvas and it is almost half completed but when we had a house fire, the instructions and fibers were destroyed.     Thanks, Pat, for a great class. I had tried some Dorset buttons before but they never turned out right. I liked the details and diagrams you added to this class. I’m looking forward to creating more, including some of the ones in the Inspirations magazine.
