Explore the basics of Blackwork embroidery with teacher Carol Lynn Stratton. In this two lesson course you will be stitching a 3″ jeweled heart. This is a great stash project for beginner and intermediate stitchers. The jewels can be stitched in regular, satin, rayon, silk, or perle cotton with the borders created in fine gold thread. The project can be finish as a pin, necklace or ornament.

Carol Lynn Stratton is the chairman of our Master Craftsman Counted Thread program, a member of Fiber Forum since 2001, a certified Master Needlework Judge and member of the EGA Judges Certification Committee. Her work has won two Bobby Pilling Awards, been accepted into four EGA National Exhibits, and she has judged the 2017 National Exhibit. Two of her pieces are in the EGA permanent collection.
