Carol Peao Dam, President

EGA Board of Directors

I’m so glad you are visiting our website and hope you will have time to personally visit our new home at the Embroidery Museum and Research Center (EMRC) in Louisville, Kentucky. Learn about the center offerings including our lending library, collections, galleries, boutique, classes and so much more to explore.

Find a chapter near you through the Chapter Directory and find out about special events near you on the Events Calendar. Our membership is varied and energetic with chapters sharing educational programs and social events as well as providing volunteer opportunities. If you are unable to join a chapter, there are other membership categories open to you. Benefits of membership include our beautiful quarterly magazine, Needle Arts, access to the members only section of the website featuring stitch guides and new projects, and lots more. Visit the Membership section of this site for complete information.

Our website and galleries offer many educational programs to suit all levels and interests. Visit the Youth Program section to see our youngest stitchers in action and to access free projects. The Free Projects section has offerings for embroiderers at many different levels. Visit our galleries and exhibits to see what our fiber artists are contributing to the world of creative embroidery. EGA has something for everyone!

Enjoy easy access to the most current EGA information. New information and ideas are being added to the site everyday so visit often. The EGA website serves its members with easy access to some rewarding educational programs:

  • Group Correspondence Courses, including on-line registration
  • Individual Correspondence Courses for in-depth study
  • The Lending Library
  • Youth Programs
  • Teacher and Judge Certification
  • Research Grants open to anyone
