1797 Sampler
(Accession #00523)

This beautiful example of an 18th century German sampler is the third in the series of EGA sampler reproductions. The booklet contains 18 pages of instructions and diagrams by Denise Harrington Pratt. Reproduction on 36-count linen results in finished design area of 13" wide by 27 ½" long. Commentary by Denise Pratt on her approach to reproducing the antique sampler and some thoughts on history and symbolism by EGA Collection Chairman. Another way to have a bit of the EGA Collection in your Collection!

Kit includes publication, 32 ct cream Belfast linen and soie d'alger threads.

Mini Flower Basket Sampler
(Accession #00012)

This undated and unsigned sampler from the EGA Permanent Collection is the fourth in the series of EGA sampler reproductions. Instructions by Barbara L. Rakosnik and diagrams by Pat Timpanaro with design size approximately 6 ½" x 4 ½". Options for silk or cotton threads on linen. Worked in cross stitch over one and two and queen stitch.

Kit includes publication, 28 count light sandstone linen and soie d' alger threads.

Elizabeth Muir Sampler

This sampler, dated 1831 and probably English, is the fifth in the series of EGA sampler reproductions. Embroidered using counted thread technique on linen using silk threads. Finished design size on
32 count linen is approximately 18 3/4" x 28 1/4." Diagrams and instructions by Denise Harrington Pratt.

Kit includes publication and Soie D'Alger threads.
