1859 Barbara Ros Reproduction Sampler

The original of this sampler was found in the Bakers Fork area of Kanawha County, WV.  The kit includes 20 count-linen, silk fibers, needle and instructions.  Research of stitcher in ongoing and any new findings will be sent to buyers.

SOME Minis

A collection of 15 original small designs by members of the SOME Chapter suitable for Chapter projects. Full color front & back cover photographs.  Professional stitch diagrams by Denise Harrington Pratt accompany each design. 66 pages, spiral bound with plastic covers for protection. Designs include Assisi; counted thread; bead work; crewel; canvas plus others - finishing instructions for projects are also included.  Gifts for all occasions! Conference Cushion

Cushion your hard chair in comfort.  The cushion fits on any folding chair and is secured with a pocket that fits over the back of the chair.  The cushion (34" x 18") can be tied to the legs with the attached grosgrain ribbon for extra stability.  This cushion is handy for conferences: it rolls up to about 18" x 8" and is secured with the ribbon ties.  Choice of light, medium, or dark print (tie-dye in picture not available).

Faith, Hope & Charity

Our beautiful Quaker sampler was a gift from designer Martina Dey for the sole purpose of charitable fundraising. To that end, each new president of our chapter selects the President's Choice" charity that will benefit from sales during her term. The model was stitched in silks from Hand-dyed Fibers(available to the public) but there is also a DMC conversion included. Also included is both alpha and numerical charts for use in personalization.

Tulip Trio

Bring a touch of Spring to your needlework with this beginner- intermediate canvas project picturing three tulips in full bloom complete with a buzzing bee. Stitched on 18 count canvas, this project uses a variety of composite stitches and threads. Although color and thread suggestions are provided, the stitcher is encouraged to choose her/his own colors and threads. The finished design is 8 x 10.

Red Clock Sampler

This sampler of elegant and graceful clock motifs dates from a period in history when knitting and embroidery were combined to produce beautifully embellished garments. These "clock" patterns, carefully recorded in silk cross stitch on linen fabric, are similar to designs which have been used for centuries to decorate knitted stockings.

Blue Clock Sampler

This “clock” sampler was worked in silk cross stitch on linen. The pendulum design has been used for centuries to decorate knitted stockings. The motifs in the lower section can modify existing clocks or create new patterns. These motifs also appear in 18th century samplers from Berks County, Pennsylvania. These patterns can be used by knitters, beaders, and embroiderers. The maker of the sampler may have worked in a knitting factory or as a seamstress.

2006 Indiana State
Day Project

An original design based upon the 25th anniversary sampler designed by Gloria Lacy. A variety of 36 sampler blocks form four separate explosions of color. The model was worked on off-white Congress Cloth with DMC / Anchor floss using five hues of each color. Each block is 18 threads by 18 threads with the possibility of using more than one thread color or fiber in some. The design invites experimentation by those comfortable with it.
